Gaming and Wagering Commission - Tipoffs

If you know or suspect wrongdoing in the WA gaming or wagering industries, please tell us.

Anonymity and Examples

You can make a confidential tipoff online using a secure system developed by Crime Stoppers WA. You may choose to remain anonymous.

To learn more about the Commission and the gambling activities we regulate, visit the Gaming and Wagering Commission website.

How tipoffs help

Tipoffs help us to:

  • identify misconduct
  • investigate illegal activity
  • reduce harm in the gaming and wagering industries across Western Australia.

Examples of tipoffs

You may wish to make a tipoff about:

  • illegal or underage gambling
  • financial crime linked to gambling
  • underground or unlicensed gambling operations
  • misconduct by employees or operators in the gambling industry.

Please note: A tipoff is not a formal complaint. To lodge a formal complaint, email contact@gwc.wa.gov.au. If your information is about an online gambling operator not licensed in WA (i.e. not TABtouch or PlayWest), search here for the best contact.

What happens after you make a tipoff

After you submit a tipoff, you can choose to receive a secure login. This allows us to contact you through an anonymous, encrypted messaging service if we need more information.

We use tipoff information to support our investigations. Where sufficient evidence is identified, we may take enforcement action. This can include disciplinary action or criminal prosecution.
