The department administers a rebate scheme, which is available to WA-based racing and gambling operations claiming GST payable on gross gambling margin.

The racing bets levy scheme is achieved through the Betting Control Act 1954 and the Racing Bets Levy Act 2009. Betting operators who engage in or conduct betting on Western Australian races are are required to lodge a monthly return and pay the associated levy.
